A lovely carpet, Kate. I started dividing some of my nivalis yesterday when it was a little bit milder to fill in some of my gaps – and dry, unlike today! Will you be splitting yours?
They are lovely, I’m not much good with spring bulbs but simple snow drops, crocuses and cyclamen don’t let me down. Seeing them out in full force brightens my day.
Well spotted! It’s the same, Crocus tommasinanus, I was studying the bees collecting pollen and nectar from in my last post. They get everywhere, but don’t seem to do any damage in my garden. Do you have something similar in New Zealand?
Wonderful to see so many waiting for the sun!

I just hope we all get a prolonged dry spell soon, so the ground dries out a bit.

Yesterday was a good day for it wasn’t it? If the ground dries, I might divide a few more this year. Right now it is very wet (and mossy) for digging.

Gorgeous! Nothing quite like a mass of snowdrops. It is really wet and boggy here too, so frustrating.
