Take the M48 junction across the Old Severn Bridge to Chepstow. At Chepstow follow A466 to Monmouth. 2miles past Tintern Abbey turn right across Brockweir Bridge over the River Wye . The Brockweir Inn will be on your right, then up Mill Hill ½mile, take first left at ‘The Rock’ (cottage) for Coldharbour, the road sign is outside ‘Fieldgate’. Continue straight up the hill for 1/2 mile then at the junction follow the bend in the road to the left and the sign for St Briavels Common (rather than Coldharbour).
